About the Role

As an Applications Engineer at Epic Cleantec, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales team by conducting application assessments, crafting tailored proposals, and ensuring a seamless transition from initial client engagement to project delivery. You will also collaborate closely with project delivery, research and development, and operations teams to ensure the successful implementation of our cutting-edge onsite water reuse solutions.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with a strong understanding of engineered building systems, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for sustainability. You will support a variety of initiatives across sales, engineering, and product development, making this a critical position as we scale our operations.

Responsibilities / Functions:

Sales and Application Support

  • Serve as the technical expert to support sales activities, including client meetings, site assessments, and feasibility studies.
  • Develop compelling and accurate technical materials for proposals, presentations, and financial analyses tailored to client needs.
  • Perform water balance calculations, preliminary equipment sizing, and system layouts to meet client and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the sales team to identify and address client concerns, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project goals.
  • Provide creative solutions to overcome challenges related to space constraints, permitting, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors regarding component pricing.
  • Review of building and site infrastructure drawings, reports, and data from the Consultant and Owner team to determine best value approach for our offerings.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Partner with the project delivery team to ensure smooth handoffs from sales to execution.
  • Assist the R&D team with testing and development of new product features and enhancements.
  • Provide technical insights to the marketing team for creating accurate and impactful collateral.
  • Support the Operations & Maintenance team with process improvements and procurement activities.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and products that can enhance our offerings.

Project Engineering and Development

  • Track and manage project timelines, risks, and financial performance to ensure commercial success.
  • Prepare technical documents, including layouts, reports, and design calculations.
  • Contribute to the creation of streamlined processes and tools for efficient project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4-6 years of experience in engineering, project management, or sales support within relevant industries such as water, wastewater, and building MEP.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with engineered building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and water reuse.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed calculations and scenario analyses.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for sustainability, innovation, and improving urban environments.
